How to clean and maintain stainless steel liquid cooling filter correctly in daily maintenance?
Stainless steel liquid cooling filters accumulate impurities and precipitate after long operation. Regular cleaning and maintenance can not only maintain good filtration performance, but also reduce system pressure drop and prolong the life of filters and related equipment.
1.Check the operation status of the filter regularly.
During daily checks, note that:
Decrease in system traffic;
whether the pressure difference between the front and back of the filter increases;
Whether the liquid cooling pump has abnormal sound;
Decreased cooling effect;
whether the pipeline pressure fluctuates abnormally;
If any of the above occurs, check immediately to see if the filter is blocked.
2.Shut down and release system pressure
Before cleaning, you should:
Stop the liquid cooling system
Close valve before and after filtration.
Slowly release pressure from the pipe.
Make sure the system is pressure-free before removal
Avoid damage to equipment or personal injury caused by operating under pressure.
3. Removal and inspection of filters
After removing the filter, focus on:
whether the filter is blocked;
Whether deformed or damaged
Corrosion or not;
whether the sealing ring is old;

4. Replace damaged parts in a timely manner. Clean stainless the Stainless Steel Filter Screen
Selection of cleaning method according to the level of contamination:
Minor pollution
Rinse well.
Gently brush the filter surface with a soft brush.
Moderate pollution
Soak in neutral detergent.
Oil and sediment removal.
Severe pollution
ultrasonic cleaning.
Remove sediment from filter pores.
When cleaning, avoid using hard tools such as wire brushes and sandpaper to avoid damaging the filter surface.
5. Check Seals
Highlights:
O ring
Sealing gaskets
Joint sealing surfaces
If aging, cracking or deformation is found, replace it in time to prevent system leaks.
6. Cleaning filter housing
Remove the following parts from inside of the shell:
SCALE
Deposited particles
Oil and impurities
Keep the inside of the filter clean to avoid secondary contamination of coolant.
7. Correct Installation and Reset
During installation, pay attention to:
Correct filter mounting direction.
The correct position of the sealing ring
Bolts are tightened evenly.
Secure interface connection
Avoid leakage or bypass filtration due to improper installation.
8.Restart and check running status
Upon resumption of operations, check the following:
Is there a leak?
Has traffic returned to normal?
Does the pressure decrease?
Whether the pump runs smoothly or not;
The system cannot be continuously operated until it is confirmed that it is back to normal.
9.Develop a regular maintenance plan
Recommended Maintenance Cycle:
General industrial cooling systems: once every 1-3 months.
Energy storage liquid cooling system: once a month
Data Center Liquid Cooling Systems: regular maintenance based on pressure difference and water quality
Initial operation of the new system: appropriate reduction of inspection cycle
