CIP (Cleaning In Place) refers to cleaning and disinfecting equipment without disassembling it. It is an efficient, safe and hygienic cleaning method. The following are the specific steps and time for CIP cleaning.
Step 1: Prepare cleaning solution
The cleaning solution is the core of CIP cleaning. Generally speaking, the cleaning solution needs to be determined according to the content of the substance to be cleaned. Here, the cleaning solution uses an alkaline cleaning agent with a ratio of 1-3%. Weighing the required cleaning time, cleaning solution concentration and cleaning temperature, the preparation plan of the cleaning solution was finally obtained.
Step 2: Pre-rinsing
The pre-rinsing is to clean unnecessary substances, deposits and other residues. The pre-rinsing should be carried out for at least 10-15 minutes.
Step 3: Main cleaning
Then the main CIP cleaning is carried out, and the pre-prepared cleaning solution is injected into the system. The concentration and temperature of the cleaning solution should be controlled within the pre-set range. The cleaning time should be at least 30-60 minutes, depending on the concentration and temperature of the cleaning solution.
Step 4: Post-rinsing
After cleaning, post-rinsing with water should be carried out to remove the cleaning solution. This process should be carried out for at least 15-20 minutes.
Step 5: Disinfection
The last step is disinfection. The disinfection process should be carried out as soon as possible after cleaning to prevent re-contamination. Here, 70% methanol is used as the disinfectant, and the disinfection time is 20-30 minutes.
In general, CIP cleaning has very clear steps and time, and is efficient, safe and hygienic. At the same time, CIP cleaning can save time and manpower, greatly reducing the difficulty of work, which is one of the reasons why it is now widely used.
